The suspected arsonist that allegedly reduced Ebeano supermarket in Abuja to ashes has been apprehended .

The popular Prince Ebeano Supermarket is located at Lokogoma district in Abuja.

However, the culprit who has identified as a nine-year-old was caught on CCTV footage setting some items in the supermarket ablaze.

In the CCTV footage making rounds online, the suspect after lighting up the fire that destroyed the entire complex, ran away from the scene.

In another footage shared by Tunde Ednut, it shows the suspect standing outside the supermarket with two other women after the the whole place has been gutted by fire.

The two other women have identified as the suspect’s mother and sister.

The suspect on interrogation, said that her mom took her to the supermarket to buy things for her sister.

Going further, she said her mother was in the drink session with her sister when she committed the crime.

On why she committed the arson, the girl said that she learnt it from a movie and never knew it was going to turn out this way.

As the girl was being interrogated by the investigation team, she’s still wearing the same clothes she wore to the shop on the day of the arson, as captured on CCTV
